Buddha Machine App Reviews

Eh.

I can see how the "box" is an art object. As an app, this is pointless. Theres nothing to it. A handfull of loops to choose from, that repeat endlessly. Gets boring, then annoying, in mere minutes. Unless thats what youre into...

Excellent

Must say I prefer the real deal for the whole fetish thing but Im a big fan anyway.

Would like to use several at once

Ive always been a fan of this app, but would like to see a new feature that would allow users to play multiple loops at once. Thats what plenty of people do with the actual physical analog Buddha boxes; they play a couple of them together to create some interesting loops from them.

Love!

Beautiful, calming, lovely. I have several versions of the real thing and its nice to add this one.

I love my Buddha machine

There is a certain loop on the app and on the real machine that puts me to sleep in an instant. Its a lifesaver on restless nights. Recommend %100%

great, but

its hard to turn off on my iphone 4 (or maybe im missing something?).. i have to pull up background apps and kill it from there. great sounds though!

I love this.

Retina display would be a plus though.

Just static

Doesnt seem to work at all.

Wont turn off

I cant turn this thing off!!!! Besides that, it puts me right to sleep,....... Which is awesome!

Love this app

Many people have been saying that they ant turn this awesome player off. But all you have to do is simply double click the home button and slide the bottom pages to the left side and There you go! Just press pause to turn it off! I also recommend getting the free app Spawn symmetry! So relaxing with the combination together!!

Whats up with the icon...

For such a beautiful app, the icon is plain ugly. It would look so mug better as a closeup without the black bars around it. The way it is, it just looks cheap and lazily thrown together where someone, literally, put a black icon an slapped the image in the middle and called it a day. This app deserves a great icon. I would gladly give one more star for a decent looking icon. As it is, I have it in a folder just so I dont have to look at it. Isnt there any way someone could take a little time and make a decent icon to showcase this beautiful app like it deserves?

brilliant ambiance

This app is everything I had hoped: hi-quality loops, changeable colors, switchable 1.0 to 2.0 machine modes, and plays in the background while you use other apps. I could only ask for a loop speed control, or the iPad versions multiple-machines-simultaneous mode.

Needs pitch knob for 2.0

Also should be universal app with the multi-box iPad app. I hate paying twice for one product... Buddha machines are freaking awesome though, its nice to have a virtual one in my pocket all the time. My friends and I had a blast with about a dozen of the real 1.0 at Burning Man.

Adding the pitch shifter would make me happy!

Would be a perfect five stars otherwise. Where is the Gristleism app? I would pick that up in a heartbeat. Also, I would like to maybe see the new budda machine version 3.0 as an in-app purchase or even just as a free update.

Add an off button and it

I acquired the real-world machines at a thrift for a crazy price (as in, about the price of this app!) and enjoy them. Having it on my phone is nice too (one less thing to stuff in a pocket), but having to pull up background tasks to shut it off is a tad annoying.

So far, so great!

Im already a fan of the box and its beautiful simplicity, so I didnt have to be converted and was enormously grateful when I received this app as a gift. The designers successfully translated to this app many of the elements that makes the box so nice, including the look of the interface. Now that this app has a timer, it is nearly perfect. (the sounds stop although the OS still has the program running in the tray) Im so glad to be able to take along the soothing sounds from both box 1 & 2 when I travel or to work without having to worry about another object (power, cables, etc). Great job!

A favorite ambient noise machine

I have a half dozen generative music apps, but this is my favorite to drown out the work noise and focus on reading. Just wish there was an in app option to purchase more loops an drones. Would gladly pay for more!

Simply amazing value for $0.99

I was all set to plunk down ~$20 for a physical Buddha Machine. Im so glad I decided to check the app store first. The audio quality is excellent. The interface is simple and beautiful. I can tell this is going to be my "go to" app for ambient music when I need to relax or to concentrate. First rate!

settings!

touch FMI logo for sleep timer and option to switch from 1.0 and 2.0 Buddha Machine loops.

3.0?

The whole world oughta have this box. Ready to pay in-app for the next set. Any chance of combining loops, as on the web? Thank you.
